She brings extensive experience working with adults navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, and complex relational patterns, within both individual and group treatment settings.

MJ specializes in trauma recovery, including work with individuals impacted by sexual abuse, and has significant experience facilitating therapy groups for both men and women. Her clinical approach emphasizes emotional regulation, nervous system awareness, and helping clients understand the patterns that shape their responses to stress and distress. She is especially attuned to how trauma, anxiety, and substance use often intersect—and how sustainable change requires addressing these experiences together.

MJ earned her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2022, following a Master’s degree in Counseling from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education from Ashland University. Her background in education and family systems informs a grounded, relational approach to care that values clarity, accountability, and integration over time.

At Trubriety, MJ supports group therapy and clinical programming, bringing a steady presence and depth of experience to co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment. Her work reflects a commitment to helping clients engage difficult experiences without becoming overwhelmed, supporting insight that can be carried into daily life.
