Extraordinary Experiences

Supporting Insight, Preparation, and Integration

At times, meaningful change is catalyzed through experiences that help people step outside of familiar patterns of thinking and relating. When approached with preparation, care, and thoughtful integration, these experiences can support deep insight and lasting personal growth.

Trubriety does not provide or facilitate these experiences directly. Instead, we support clients who are exploring practices such as breathwork, meditation, nature-based therapy, and, within Oregon’s legal framework, ketamine- or psilocybin-assisted services.

Our role is to help clients prepare for these experiences when appropriate, and to integrate what emerges into ongoing clinical work.

These practices are always optional and are not required to participate in Trubriety’s program.

Why Extraordinary Experiences Matter

While therapy helps us understand our lives, certain experiences can help us feel that understanding more deeply.

Moments of insight—whether quiet or profound—can shift how we see ourselves, our patterns, and our capacity for change. Without preparation and integration, however, these moments can fade quickly or feel disconnected from daily life.

At Trubriety, we focus on helping those insights take root.

Insight alone is not enough—what matters is how it is understood, integrated, and lived over time.

Our Approach

Preparation • Experience • Integration

Preparation

We help clients explore readiness, clarify intentions, and develop the stability needed to approach these experiences safely and thoughtfully.

Experience

Clients may choose to engage in practices such as breathwork, meditation, nature-based work, or legally regulated services outside of Trubriety.

Integration

We support clients in making sense of what emerged—connecting insights to patterns, relationships, and real-life change.

Breathwork

What it is:

Guided breathing practices that support emotional release, awareness, and nervous system regulation.

Potential benefits:

  • reduced stress and anxiety

  • improved emotional regulation

  • increased body awareness

  • support for grounding and presence

What the research suggests:

Emerging research, including recent meta-analyses, suggests breathwork can reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression when practiced consistently.

How Trubriety supports this work:

Trubriety can help clients prepare for and integrate these experiences into their ongoing therapeutic process.

Meditation & Mindfulness

What it is:

Practices that cultivate awareness of thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations with greater steadiness and less reactivity.

Potential benefits:

  • improved focus and self-awareness
  • reduced anxiety and depressive symptoms
  • greater emotional balance
  • increased ability to pause before reacting

What the research suggests:

A large body of research supports mindfulness-based interventions for improving stress, anxiety, and depression, with consistent evidence across clinical studies.

How Trubriety supports this work:

Meditation practices support the development of stability and help clients build a more grounded relationship with internal experiences.

Nature-Based Therapy

What it is:

Intentional time in natural environments to support reflection, grounding, and nervous system regulation.

Potential benefits:

  • reduced stress and improved mood
  • increased sense of calm and perspective
  • enhanced emotional grounding
  • support for reflection and clarity

What the research suggests:

Research suggests that nature-based interventions can improve stress, anxiety, and mood, particularly when combined with reflective or therapeutic practices.

How Trubriety supports this work:

We help clients integrate insights gained in natural settings into their broader therapeutic goals and daily life.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

What it is:

A medically supervised treatment that may be combined with psychotherapy in certain clinical settings.

Potential benefits:

  • symptom relief for some individuals
  • increased openness and flexibility
  • support for treatment-resistant depression in appropriate cases

What the research suggests:

Ketamine has a growing evidence base for treatment-resistant depression, with clinical trials demonstrating meaningful symptom reduction in certain populations.

How Trubriety supports this work:

Trubriety does not provide ketamine-assisted therapy, but we support clients in preparing for and integrating these experiences within a safe, structured therapeutic framework.

Psilocybin-Assisted Services (Oregon Legal Model)

What it is:

In Oregon, psilocybin services are provided through licensed service centers and facilitators under state regulation.

Potential benefits:

  • increased insight and perspective
  • reduced rigid thinking patterns
  • support for emotional processing
  • increased motivation for change in some individuals

What the research suggests:

Early clinical trials suggest potential benefits for depression and alcohol use disorder, though research is ongoing and long-term outcomes continue to be studied.

How Trubriety supports this work:

Trubriety does not provide psilocybin services. We support clients in preparing for and integrating these experiences in alignment with their broader treatment goals.

Our Role in This Work

Trubriety’s focus is not on providing extraordinary experiences—but on helping clients make sense of them.

We support clients by:
  • exploring readiness and appropriateness
  • clarifying intentions and expectations
  • strengthening emotional and nervous system stability
  • integrating insights into daily life and relationships

This ensures that experiences are not isolated events, but part of a meaningful and lasting process of change.

Trubriety does not provide or refer directly to specific experiential services. Clients who choose to explore these practices are encouraged to work with licensed, reputable providers and to consider legal and medical guidelines.

Our role is to support preparation and integration within a structured clinical program.

How This Connects to Your Recovery

These experiences, when thoughtfully integrated, can support the core pillars of Trubriety:

Belonging

Shared experiences and deeper understanding can strengthen connection.

Stability

Practices such as meditation, breathwork, and nature work support regulation.

Purpose

Moments of insight often reconnect people with meaning and direction.

A Thoughtful, Integrated Approach

Extraordinary experiences are not about escaping life—they are about seeing it more clearly.

With preparation, support, and integration, they can become part of a deeper process of healing—one that is grounded, sustainable, and aligned with who you are becoming.
