Kara L. Edge, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, trauma recovery, and substance use treatment. Her career has spanned community mental health, integrated healthcare settings, leadership and supervision roles, and private practice.
Kara is a Level 3 trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and has completed Somatic IFS training, along with advanced coursework in trauma, dissociation, addiction, shame, and complex clinical presentations.
Her clinical work focuses on helping adults navigate trauma, identity, addiction, and life transitions through a compassionate, non-pathologizing approach that supports deep and sustainable change.
Throughout her career, Kara has provided individual and group therapy, led clinical teams, mentored clinicians, and developed innovative group therapy curricula. She is deeply committed to community-centered healing and to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for growth, particularly for LGBTQIA+ communities and individuals living with HIV. Kara brings a spirit of creativity and playfulness to her work, believing that curiosity, connection, and collaboration are powerful catalysts for meaningful change.
